Mukisa Ministries
Breaking generational cycles of hopelessness by replacing them with life and purpose in Christ.
About Mukisa
A Community Center in Nasenyi Village
"Mukisa" means "blessing" in Luganda — and that is exactly what this community center seeks to be to the children and families of Nasenyi, a small, predominantly Muslim village about 20 minutes outside Mbale city.
In the quiet village of Nasenyi, there is a place where life and hope are being restored. Mukisa Ministries is more than a community center — it is a heartbeat for the village. Every day, young people gather to learn skills that can change their future, families find strength through counseling, and children start the day nourished and ready to learn.
We believe that when you feed a child, educate a parent, and train a young person for dignified work, you are not just helping one person — you are breaking a cycle that has held entire generations captive.

A Story of Healing
Betty's Story
Betty is six years old. Her family noticed something was wrong with her eye and brought her to Mukisa for help. A medical assessment confirmed it — Betty needed surgery.
Mukisa Ministries covered the cost of her procedure. When Betty came out of surgery and smiled for the first time without pain, her family wept and praised God. Betty now comes every morning for breakfast, tutoring, and the love of a community that sees her.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18
