About A.R.E.

From the Streets to the Classroom

The A.R.E. program is dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children in Uganda by ensuring access to quality education and stable family life.

We identify children who are living on the streets or in unstable situations, assist them with immediate needs, help resettle them with relatives when possible, and sponsor their education — covering school fees, scholastic materials, and ongoing support year after year.

We believe education is one of the most powerful forces for breaking cycles of poverty. We walk alongside each child for as long as it takes — because restoration doesn't happen overnight, and neither does a life rebuilt.

Our Approach

Three Pillars of Support

A

Assist

We provide immediate assistance and support to vulnerable youth and their families, addressing urgent needs and creating stability.

R

Resettle

We help resettle children living on the streets with relatives, reuniting families and providing a stable home environment.

E

Educate

Through the generosity of sponsors, we enroll children in school and support their educational journey toward a brighter future.

Vincent's Story

Vincent once lived on the streets — with no home, no future, and no one to fight for him. Then A.R.E. found him. They assisted him, helped resettle him, and sponsored his education year after year.

In 2025, Vincent completed his Senior 6 exams — finishing his secondary schooling and stepping into a future that once seemed impossible. When asked what he wants to do next, his answer is simple: he wants to become a teacher. To give back. To be for other children what Tanaka was for him.
