Tanaka's Monthly Report
Shining a light on God's faithfulness
May 2026

We are humbled and thankful for all that God has done through your generosity this past month.

Because of your support, we were able to reach many communities, hundreds of children and their families, and even learned of a church that was launched off of our training. Path of Hope has amazing news as well, and we praise the Lord for a month full of testimonies! God is faithful, and we are so grateful to the donors whose partnership makes this work possible.

Restoration
Path of Hope

Path of Hope FINALLY received the long-awaited government inspection, where they not only approved our shelter but commended it as exceeding expectations, granting us our official license of operation. This makes Path of Hope the 23rd Gender Based Violence shelter in Uganda and only the 2nd dedicated to girls under 18. With this license, we are now formally recognized to serve as a refuge where young girls can find safety, restoration, and ultimately the hope of Christ. We see this as a powerful step toward reaching even more lives with the love of God.

Prevention
Reclaiming Hope

We are so thankful for the incredible ways Reclaiming Hope is transforming lives for God's glory. By crossing into different areas of Tanaka's ministry, they have provided vital support in Path of Hope resettlements through family and community counseling, while also strengthening the families of our sponsored children in ARE. Beyond this, their ongoing training in 12 villages continues to bring lasting change. One of the most inspiring outcomes has been the birth of a new church that began after a Reclaiming Hope training/graduation—now faithfully meeting for over a year.

Intervention
Mukisa Ministries

We are deeply grateful for the blessings this month at Mukisa Ministries. Over 300 children were welcomed daily into holiday programming, where they grew through classes in reading, music, sports, tailoring, speech, chess, and more. Eighty parents joined a parenting workshop—strengthening families alongside their children's education. Our service and stewardship group reached out to care for the elderly, showing compassion in action. One mother received successful eye surgery—an outcome made possible by the generosity of donors like you. Each child finished the holiday with school supplies they earned themselves through our Mukisa Points System and have returned to school.

Intervention
Assist. Resettle. Educate.

May was a meaningful term break for our sponsored students. While most enjoyed their time away from school, we did encounter two urgent family situations that required immediate aid and counseling—thankfully both were successfully resolved. We continue to seek 8 additional sponsors to support children in need, and invite anyone who feels led to join us in this vital work. One of our students preparing for exams this year required a birth certificate, and we were able to guide him through the process, ensuring his right to education in Uganda where documentation is essential.

Family
Mukisa Family

This has been a busy and fruitful month for our family! With everyone home from school, each person has been serving at Mukisa Ministries in their own unique way. We've enjoyed plenty of gardening and are grateful for the harvest it has brought. This season was especially meaningful as it marked Ken's last time with the family before heading to America for college soon, so we cherished intentional moments together to celebrate and prepare for his exciting journey ahead.

We are so very grateful for your love, support, and prayers! May God bless you!

With love,
