In April, our staff intentionally focused on serving from a place of victory.
We rejoice in the reminder that Jesus has already won! Though the pain, suffering, and injustice we encounter daily can feel heavy, we take heart knowing that God has defeated the darkness of this world. Our calling is simply to serve faithfully as His hands and feet—an extension of His love—victoriously.
We thank the Lord for a calmer month as security upgrades near completion, including new security lighting and a safe room. Two of our long-term survivors and one short-term one are preparing for resettlement next month, and we are confident they will enter safe and stable environments. Our mission remains to see each girl find hope and healing in Jesus Christ and live victoriously after leaving Path of Hope. These young girls stand as testimonies of God's faithfulness—He has shown Himself as Protector, Defender, and Healer in their journeys!
This past week, Reclaiming Hope celebrated the graduation of 12 new village communities who will now take up the responsibility of impacting their own areas. The biblical lessons on marriage and child-raising have been life-changing for individuals, and while it is often a challenge for graduates to impart these truths within their communities, we trust the Lord to strengthen them as they step into this calling. We are looking forward to May, where we will be training in an area where one of our ARE kids comes from, due to the need of extensive counseling for the family and community where he comes from.
April was a month of preparation as we looked ahead to the school holiday. We are ready to welcome 322 children for studies and activities ranging from academics and sports to practical skills and music. The children will also join together to raise funds for a woman in our community who needs eye surgery. At the end of the holiday, whatever they raise as a team will be matched—an opportunity for them to learn service and stewardship while blessing someone in need. We thank God for opening doors for both learning and compassion in our community.
We praise the Lord for a sponsor who has stepped forward to support two children. We continue to pray and trust Him to provide sponsors for the many others still in need. All of the children have completed their Term 1 exams and are now home, awaiting their report cards before returning to school on May 25. We remain confident in God's provision and care for each of these precious lives.
In April we received sudden word that Gifty needed to appear before a panel for adoption approval—and we praise the Lord it was granted! On the very last day of the month we also welcomed the BLESSING BUS!!!! The new van all of you had given towards and prayed for has finally come, and it is strong and will serve us so well in ministry and as a family! We are SO grateful to each one of you. This has been a very long process, but God's timing is perfect, and Blessing Bus will be exactly as her name states.
We thank you so much for your love and support!
With love,
